Possibly BOWA's first ever Fuel Saving Easter Monday Pre-Camp Training walk.
Following our Prime Minister's suggestion that we enjoy our Easter and catch a train or bus if we can, John is offering this excellent walk starting at Claremont Train Station. The perfect way to get some training in prior to our gruelling schedule at Nannup, while offsetting some of the fuel we use to get there, and hopefully back.
Note the 9.30am departure time to allow for public holiday transport connections and to permit meeting at 9.15am.
A pleasant 14 km walk from Claremont Train Station alongside the western side of Lake Claremont and through Bold Park to Perry Lakes Reserve. We return through Mt Claremont and to the east of Lake Claremont. It will be a reasonably paced, generally flat walk with one steepish ascent and one long climb and a descent in Bold Park.
Meet outside Claremont station on the north side near the FORM Gallery and Cafe. The meeting point is also easily accessible by bike as it is on the bike path.
