A Pickering Look

A mid-week 19.5 km moderately hard circular walk following the refurbished Kattamordo Heritage Trail and various tracks in Korung National Park to Mt Gungin, returning in a mixture of bush track (some a little overgrown) and orchard lined road to our starting point. Most of the route is gently undulating though there are three steep ascents on the walk, and one short but very steep descent on a gravel and marri nut strewn path, so walking poles are recommended.  It is a pretty forest walk, combined with fine autumnal orchard views. There are two coffee shops at the Pickering Brook general store starting point for those seeking a pre-walk pick me up.  However, remember that departure will be promptly at 9am.   Members and Visitors who are proposing to attend this walk are reminded that in accordance with the Club’s COVID-19 vaccination policy they may only participate if they have proof that they have been double vaccinated..
