Walking is a year round activity. Bushwalkers of Western Australia Inc (BOWA) based in Perth has a complete annual programme. In Winter (May to October) longer walks of up to 20km in length are undertaken. These require a full day and most of the information about walking presented here applies to these walks. From time to time the Winter programme will include, for variety, a shorter half day walk. In Summer members maintain fitness by shorter walks around the Perth environs which are completed before midday. On almost every Sunday of the year it is possible to sample the experience of walking with our club. How do I get started?
Join Steve for a pleasant walk through this riverside suburb where we travel through parks and walkways over 7 - 8Kms including some great river views.
The meeting place is opp 4 - 12 Buckland Ave, Mosman Park. 4.30 PM for 4.45 Sharp departure.
We should be back at the start by 7PM and for those who wish we will the drive the short distance to Himalayan Nepalese Restaurant for our evening meal. Please RSVP by Fri 18 Feb if you wish to join us for dinner.
Members who are proposing to attend the dinner after this walk are reminded that in accordance with the Club’s COVID-19 vaccination policy they, and any family or friends who intend accompanying them, may do so only if they have provided to Steve, as the event organiser, proof that they have been double vaccinated.
