Walking is a year round activity. Bushwalkers of Western Australia Inc (BOWA) based in Perth has a complete annual programme. In Winter (May to October) longer walks of up to 20km in length are undertaken. These require a full day and most of the information about walking presented here applies to these walks. From time to time the Winter programme will include, for variety, a shorter half day walk.  In Summer members maintain fitness by shorter walks around the Perth environs which are completed before midday. On almost every Sunday of the year it is possible to sample the experience of walking with our club. How do I get started?

Description

Approximately 14km loop allows walkers to encounter the sights & sounds of the pristine wetlands & discover the historic remains of the Ghost House. Undulating track with some sandy patches. Morning tea (BYO) stop at a shelter and lunch at the end of the walk.

meeting at Whitfords train station at 8.30am to car pool to Yanchep National Park.

Park fees apply $15 or $8 concession per vehicle.

if you wish to go directly to the park meet at the Yanchep Inn carpark by 9am.

Description

In the northern part of Whitfords station car park but south of Whitfords Avenue. The station is at the junction of Mitchell Freeway and Whitfords Avenue.
