King Jarrah Walk Trail

For participants in the BOWA Spring camp at Dwellingup.

This 18 km Medium/Hard walk was named after WA’s oldest and biggest Jarrah Tree which is located within Lane Poole Reserve. The trail starts out along a single track with a fairly steep incline followed by smaller dips and climbs surrounded by the beauty of the jarrah forest. We then follow a series of vehicle tracks (also used by cyclists) down to the bottom of the valley beside the Murray River and loop back to the start point.

Meet at 8.45 am for carpooling and 9 am departure. The trail starts at the Nanga Mill Campground, a 15-minute drive south of Dwellingup. We will park at Treetops Adventure ground and walk a short distance to the trailhead. Bring supplies for morning tea, lunch, and an afternoon break if requested.

A shorter walk option will also be available if requested. Walkers will be led back to the start point after the morning break.
